据外媒报道，澳大利亚国家健康水平监管局（National Health Performance Authority）公布数据显示，澳大利亚医院超级细菌感染率减少，每年减少数百死亡病例。全澳只有四家医院未能达到国家标准，其中两家在新南威尔士州。
据报道，周四公布的最新数据显示，致命的“金色葡萄球菌”导致严重血液感染数量，在上一财年减少了6%，包括对常用抗生素具有抗药性的“超级细菌”--耐甲氧西林金黄色葡萄球菌（MRSA）。

Hundreds of lives have been saved by Australian hospitals that have managed to slash the number of people catching infectious bugs while in care.
